PureWeb Privacy: Your Data, Our Commitment

As we introduce more layers of security into our digital lives, it's crucial to be aware of the implications and ensure that our privacy remains intact. At PureWeb, we place a strong emphasis on security and transparency. We know that trust is the cornerstone of our relationship with you, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Our customers trust PureWeb with sensitive data. And we work hard to earn that trust, knowing that it comes with responsibilities that we don't take lightly. Today, we're pulling back the curtain to reveal exactly what we do (and don’t) know about you and how we handle your data with the utmost care and security.

What Does PureWeb Have Access To?

We only access the data necessary to provide and improve our services, and to support you when needed. Here’s a breakdown:

When You Sign Up

When you sign up for PureWeb, we ask for your name, email address, and phone number.

While an email address is needed for proper functioning of our platform (as this is how you log into console.pureweb.io), the other information helps us greet you personally. We want to ensure our customers are supported, and have a real-person to talk to when they’re onboarding with PureWeb (no AI-chatbots here). Additionally, when signing up, we collect your subscription preferences, so we know how to communicate with you effectively.

Website Tracking

We use Google Analytics to collect data about how you interact with PureWeb.com. This includes the pages you visit, the time you spend on each page, and what you click on, type and version of your browser. We also track how you interact with our emails—whether you open them and which links you click. This data helps us improve our site and services to better meet your needs. On the PureWeb console, we use DataDog to help us understand if you’re having performance issues or errors in your console experience. In this way we aim to address errors and performance issues early. Lastly, when you upload a model to the PureWeb platform, we store coarse-grained geolocation data about where the upload came from (i.e. nearest major city). This helps us in optimizing our infrastructure deployment for your streaming models.

Critically, whether for Google Analytics or DataDog, none of this information that we collect is personally identifying.

Transactional Information

When it comes to paying for PureWeb, we have two options:

  1. Pay by credit card. Like many companies, we use Stripe as our payment gateway. While your credit card information is provided to Stripe for transacting payment, we don’t store any of that information.
  2. Direct billing. For larger enterprises, we provide payment through direct remittance, for this we require your relevant company banking information. This includes things like bank name, account and transit number and business address.

Streaming Models

Core to your use of PureWeb, are the real-time models you upload to the platform. Despite being uploaded to the platform, these models are yours and always will be. We take great care to ensure that as few employees as possible have access to your model data, and stringent and audited security controls are in place to guard access to this data, and ensure it is not retained any longer than is strictly necessary.

If you ever run into challenges getting your model to run optimally on our platform, we may ask you for permission to access your model in order to help you with troubleshooting and optimization.

Finally, you are responsible for ensuring that your models contain no personally identifiable information (PII). We recommend that if you want to include PII in your model, that this data is loaded in at runtime from data sources you own and manage.

What Will Always Be Private?

Everything else.

Our Security Measures

We are committed to keeping your data secure. We undergo annual penetration testing and audits for our SOC 2 controls, ensuring a high level of security and privacy. Our systems are designed to prevent unauthorized access and to keep your data safe at every stage—during processing and storage.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and other privacy laws, you have rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: You can request details about the personal data we hold.
  • Correction: You have the right to request corrections to inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: You can request the deletion of your data.
  • Restriction: You can limit how we process your data.
  • Data Copy: You have the right to request a copy of your data.

We respect these rights and have established procedures to ensure compliance.
